CANNA DECARBOXYLATION

Ingredients:

Finely Ground Cannabis
ANY AMOUNT
Any amount can be decarboxylated and used for food and apothecary purposes.

Preparation mode:

1. Put dry cannabis in a glass Pyrex covered casserole dish. This keeps the terpenes and other volatiles from evaporating off, which results in less odor. Decarbing will dry the water out of the plant material decreasing the weight by 10% .

2.

For maximum THC-A to THC conversion, heat at 245°F for 20- 60 minutes.

For maximum CBD-A to CBD conversion, heat at 245°F for 90 minutes.

3. When properly decarboxylated, the cannabis will become slightly browned and darker in color and dry and crumble easily.

Footnotes:

Decarbing can create a light odor but using an over head hood and even decarbing using the sous vide method the smells can be eliminated.

Ensure the cannabis is not burned by staying close to the oven, if the cannabis is browning quickly and you are familiar with vaping you can often smell when the decarboxylation has occurred.

****It will take extra time but but burned cannabis is wasted cannabis in this case.***

***Be sure to learn your equipment as decarboxylation can occur prior to the time outlined times above and the cannabis material can burn easily. ****
